Delete Your Data

How to delete your Amora account, and how to remove an Instagram account connected to Amora and delete what we hold about it.

Document Overview

  • Delete your account from Settings in the app
  • Removing Amora in Instagram stops our access at once
  • Ask Instagram or email us to delete the connection data

Delete Your Amora Account

In the Amora app, open Settings and choose Delete account. Your account, your profile and the content you created are deleted after a 24 hour hold, during which you can change your mind. You can also email privacy@tryamora.app from the address on your account and we will delete it for you.

Remove an Instagram Account Connected to Amora

Creators who work with Amora can connect an Instagram professional account so Amora can read its analytics and publish reels to it. To remove that connection and delete what we hold about it:

  • To stop our access: in Instagram, open Settings, then Website permissions, then Apps and websites, and remove Amora. Instagram tells us automatically and we stop using the account straight away.
  • To delete the connection data: request deletion for Amora through Instagram, or email privacy@tryamora.app with the Instagram username.

Deleting the connection removes the access token, the account's username and identifiers, and the account details read at connection. We keep a record of the reels Amora published to the account (their Instagram identifiers and dates) because it forms part of our payment records with the creator. Reels already published stay on the Instagram account, which you control there.

If You Arrived Here With a Confirmation Code

Your deletion request was received and processed: if we held an Instagram connection for that account, it has been deleted. Keep the code from the address bar and quote it to privacy@tryamora.app with any questions about the request.
